Your mission
You will ensure that innovative software solutions are created in the field of automation and robotics.
As a software engineering intern, you will support the development, implementation and optimisation of applications that are used in real-life scenarios. Your work lays the foundation for advanced technologies in the areas of data processing, system design and algorithms.
Your tasks
You will be independently responsible for the realisation of a practical software project, e.g.
  • Development of interfaces for distributed systems
  • Optimisation of software architectures
  • Integration and validation of new algorithms
Your tasks will include
  • Analysing project requirements, developing and prototypically implementing your solution, including documenting your results
  • Maintenance of CI/CD pipelines
  • Carrying out system tests with regard to functionality and reliability
  • Debugging, refactoring and performance tuning of existing systems or algorithms
  • Collaborating with other developers to embed and test your solutions in larger projects
Your profile
  • Studies in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics or similar
  • Good knowledge of C++
  • Initial practical experience, e.g. through your own projects, your studies or internships/working student activities
  • Initial experience in dealing with distributed systems (ROS2 or DDS) and in the areas of CI/CD, software testing, data science or robotics (nice-to-have)
  • High analytical skills, initiative and independence
  • Ability to present your work results precisely and to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn
