Master Thesis Advanced Development in Human in the Loop / Mobile Robotics

Based on the current state of research, you will develop solutions to ensure that our teleoperated forklifts meet the highest requirements in terms of safety standards and system concepts. You will scrutinize classic system concepts and develop them further for use in the mobile robotics and human-in-the-loop environment. In this way, you will actively contribute to further increasing the degree of automation of our product while at the same time always ensuring safety in our customers' continuous operations.

• you familiarize yourself with existing safety and system concepts
• you evaluate the current state of research and derive potential further developments beyond the standard concepts that meet our use case in the area of human-in-the-loop teleoperation and automation
• you evaluate the concepts in terms of feasibility, costs, development times and resources required
• you independently derive a suitable system architecture
• you accompany your concept/prototype through to testing in the field and identify requirements for the series introduction of your system concept

an example could be the full-scale development of a remote high-speed runner

• studies in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
• initial experience or knowledge of holistic system development in hardware, software and design
• you are not afraid of machines and you are willing to contribute hands-on to the implementation of your concept
• you work in a structured and solution-oriented manner
• you communicate precisely and are curious
• you enjoy working constructively in a team
