Your mission
With your expertise, you will take our Remote Driving System to the next level. You will ensure that our forklift trucks are stable, reliable and perform well in different customer operating environments. Your goal is for automation to become a natural part of our product offering for customers.
Your tasks
Technological Development
  • evaluation of new solution approaches (from state-of-the-art research) for reliable application in our product
  • development and optimization of software modules for automated forklift trucks in dynamic warehouse environments
  • improvement of hardware and software integration for mobile robotic systems
Product Integration
  • reliable functionality of our mobile robot systems in real logistics environments
  • implementation of successful field tests and validation of our robot systems
  • integration of feedback from our customers and internal stakeholders into our systems
Your profile
  • sound knowledge of algorithms and technologies in mobile robotics, especially in
    • localization (SLAM, sensor-based navigation)
    • motion planning and control (e.g. path planning, obstacle avoidance)
    • sensor integration (LiDAR, (ToF) cameras)
  • experience with robotics frameworks (ROS2)
  • experience with simulation environments (e.g. Gazebo, Nvidia Isaac Sim)
  • sound programming skills in C++ and Python
  • experience in real-time systems and embedded software
  • solid understanding of mechanics and mechatronics of mobile robots
  • experience with autonomous vehicles or logistics robotics as well as knowledge of machine learning, data processing for robotics applications and machine vision desirable
  • high analytical skills, focus on implementable solution approaches while exhausting technical possibilities (proven e.g. through realized projects in the integration of complex robotic solutions in real operation, successful development of prototypes, solution of field problems)
  • precise communication and curiosity
  • the ability to work as a team within the automation team and with other development areas
